Defending The Mert-Dude
Well, this is my 15 minutes. “Apprising” Ministries- the source of about 90% of the fertilizer being spread in the TR blogosphere- has singled out yours truly for a post.
It works like this: Contemplative Spirituality is bad. What is contemplative spirituality? It’s why Foster and Mclaren and Willard and thousands of other people who can’t spell contemplative are in actual fact sympathizers with the Roman Catholic Church. But what is contemplative spirituality? Well…..you like….think about stuff you shouldn’t think about. You’re like….thinking about stuff when you could be reading a Puritan book. And it’s Catholic. Which is very bad. Why is the Catholic Church bad? Because they aren’t fundamentalist Calvinists, that’s why? And they practice contemplative spirituality. Did I mention that?
Prediction: This Apprising post will set records. I’m that good.
