I am a man of very few words (except in the pulpit, our congregation would say;-) so I’m really enjoying the new blog by Abraham Piper, 22 Words. The “gimmick” is that each post be exactly 22 words in length. The young Piper is quite the wordsmith (in this the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree). It’s remarkable how much can be said in just a few words, deep things sometimes, like a reflection on the death of a child and the resurrection or thoughtful things like this reflection on blog wars, perhaps? At first I feared that it might be like reading the elder Piper (not that there’s anything wrong with that. I appreciate Dr. Piper very much even though we disagree on a number of things) but the son is no clone of the father. For example here’s a post on his fondness for pipe smoking. Can you imagine his dad writing such a thing?

So my 22 words…

I recommend this fine new blog. It’s witty, sometimes profound and (as you might expect) seeks to glorify God . Check it out.
