Ingrid owes George
Matthew: True. Suddenly, I feel like I need a shower.
The inability to speak about another person as made in the image of God is a typical failure of zealot fundamentalists like Ingrid. As I said at IM, Fred Phelps has a sign for you if you want to follow that all the way to the end.
But here’s the irony: Carlin’s kind of libertarian defense of “hard” speech is exactly what will keep TR zealots like Ingrid on the air with her little radio show and able to say whatever she wants to say. Yes, Ingrid- George Carlin was protecting your right to play free range Bishop to the rest of the Christian world and use whatever crass jihadist terminology you want in diagnosing the rest of us.
That’s George Carlin and Lenny Bruce who are keeping the way clear for you to say they’re in hell and I should be and so should 99% of the rest of the world.
Go for it, sister. George did a good job making it safe for you to talk hard.

I don’t know that I’m willing to go as far as the monk, but that’s OK. I don’t have to, and I don’t have to worry about the fact that he did go that far. See also this at Boar’s Head Tavern. [...]
